Meet the men and women who operate these aircraft and learn how their machines help to keep people safe, like this Italian pilot – who must remain anonymous for security reasons – who flies the F-35A Lightning II fighter jet, a 5th-generation multirole combat aircraft. The pilot was part of NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission last year and was stationed at Ämari Air Base in Estonia.
