Watch in this awesome video from Youtuber Topfelya how the Airbus Beluga XL performs an incredible short landing during its first visit to the UK. The Beluga XL is a transport aircraft, used by Airbus to fly aircraft parts to airports across Europe. The remarkable aircraft made its first flight on 19 July 2018, and received its type certification on 13 November 2019. It’s a new variant of the older Airbus Beluga and both aircraft are based on the Airbus A330, but the XL is larger than its predecessor and has 30% more capacity than the existing Beluga and it’s able to carry two A-350 XWB wings instead of one. The Beluga XL will replace the Beluga from 2021.
