Earlier this month the black Boeing 737-800 (registration N36272) was revealed to the galaxy by United, when the aircraft made it’s first flight with its stunning livery; blue on the left side (‘The Resistance’) and red on the right side (‘The First Order’) of the aircraft, with a large light sword on the tail and images of spacecraft from the iconic Star Wars movies on the fuselage.

The Star Wars livery is a partnership between United, Disney and the Star Wars Franchise, to promote the latest film in the Star Wars saga: ‘The Rise of Skywalker’.

United also promotes the movie on board. The airline produced a flight safety video inspired by Star Wars, they adjusted the contents of their amenity kits, passengers are welcomed on board with Star Wars film music and even the interior of the aircraft received a temporary Star Wars look.

Members of United’s MileagePlus loyalty program also have a chance to attend the American premiere of ‘Star Wars: The Rise of SkyWalker’, which will be in theaters on December 20, two months after the new trailer of Disney’s next blockbuster was released on October 21.

It will be the final movie in the new trilogy and the final episode of the Skywalker era. The saga will end, but the story lives forever.

We can’t wait to watch the ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ in the cinema and to see this awesome looking Star Wars plane at airports across the country.

And for the ones who are lucky enough to fly the friendly galaxy on this intergalactic jet; May the Force be with you!
