Two Polish Air Force MIG-29s departing Leeuwarden Air Base, Netherlands – with a lot of smoke – during NATO Exercise ‘Frisian Flag’, a smaller variant of ‘Red Flag’. It’s an annual two-week-exercise with participants from different NATO-countries in Europe, including the RNLAF and often 1 or 2 ANG squadrons from the U.S. It takes place during the 1st 2 weeks of April.
