Russian AF An-124 lands in NYC with medical supplies

VIDEO – RUSSIAN AIR FORCE AN-124 CARGO PLANE LANDS IN NEW YORK CITY WITH MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO AID IN FIGHT AGAINST CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

NEW YORK – Russia has sent a cargo plane with medical supplies to the U.S. to aid in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. A Russian Air Force Antonov An-124-100,“with medical masks and medical equipment on board, has left for the United States,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday. The haul was sent after President Trump accepted an offer of assistance from Vladimir Putin. The cargo plane took off from Chkalovski Air Base near Moscow on March 31 and landed at New York JFK International Airport on April 1. The An-124 was loaded with humanitarian aid to the United States – hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic, which killed more than 4,000 people.
