MOSCOW – Earlier this week President Erdogan from Turkey was invited by President Putin of Russia to see Russia’s Su-57 fifth generation fighter at the 2019 MAKS International Aviation and Space Airshow at Moscow’s Zhukhovsky Airport on August 27, 2019. Erdogan is looking for a replacement for the F-35 Lightning II, after the U.S. excluded Turkey from the F-35 program, due to Turkey receiving Russian S-400 anti-air missiles earlier.
Erdogan was given the opportunity to look into the top secret cockpit of the Su-57 on display. Erdogan asked Putin whether it was available for sale. Putin smiled and said, “Yes, you can buy it,” the Associated Press reported.
