RAAF BASE AMBERLEY, AUSTRALIA – Watch how Boeing’s Australia team and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) have completed low-speed taxi testing of the first Boeing ATS (Airpower Teaming System), also known as the Boeing ‘Loyal Wingman’ project – a stealth unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) in development by Boeing Australia to perform autonomous missions using artificial intelligence. The unmanned aircraft is the first military aircraft designed and made in Australia in over 50 years and will continue ground testing and preparations for first flight later this year. The RAAF plans to initially buy 3 ATS aircraft, as part of the Loyal Wingman Advanced Development Program (LWADP). The 3 drones were built at an automated production line in Brisbane, Queensland.
