DOHA – A Boeing 747-200F (reg.no. EP-FAB) of the Iranian Cargo Airline Fars Air Qeshm was damaged on Saturday night at Doha Airport in Qatar. Reportedly, the handling agents unloaded too much cargo from the front of the aircraft, causing the center of gravity to slide backwards and the B747’s nose to tilt.
It’s the only Fars Air Qeshm 747 aircraft. Western intelligence services have accused it of supplying weapons to the Iranian allies Hizbullah and Syria. Just before the incident, the Boeing had flown from Yerevan in Armenia to Doha in Qatar.
It is unclear whether there were any injuries.
