INDIA SAYS IT’S ‘HAPPY’ PAKISTAN IS RELEASING THEIR DOWNED MIG-21 PILOT

NEW DELHI – According to Reuters the Indian government confirms that Pakistan had decided to return one of its captured Indian Air Force MIG-21 pilot. The Indian government is looking forward to his return, defense officials told reporters today.

Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman when he was captured yesterday by soldiers of the Pakistan Army.

Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman – who was captured by the Pakistan Army yesterday on February 27 – will return to India on Friday, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan told the country’s parliament.

Officials said it was premature to provide details about casualties. It remains unclear what the damage was, caused when India warplanes struck a suspected militant camp in Pakistan. However, they said they had “credible” evidence of the damage inflicted on the camp by the air strikes.
