FIRST AEROFLOT AIRBUS A350 ROLLS OUT OF THE PAINT SHOP REVEALING THE AIRLINE’S NEW LIVERY
TOULOUSE – Aeroflot – Russia’s flag carrier – has revealed its new livery with its first Airbus A350, which rolled out of the paint shop on Monday at Toulouse Airport in France. The airline will fly soon with the A350-900XWB. Aeroflot has a total of 15 A350 aircraft on order.
Compared to the old Aeroflot livery, less silver gray is used in the airline’s new livery, resulting in an almost complete white fuselage instead of silver. The old livery also had a blue belly, now silver. The airline also uses larger characters in its name Aeroflot on the fuselage of the aircraft. The aircraft’s tail also has a larger Russian flag.
Aeroflot has ordered a total of 15 A350-900s, which are equipped with 316 seats in 3 classes (28 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy and 264 in Economy). With the modern and efficient Airbus A350, the Russians are aiming to expand their long haul network.
According to Aeroflot’s most recent schedule, the airline will use the A350 between Moscow and New York from the end of March. Beijing, Miami and Seoul will soon follow in the following months.
The airline will also use the A350 on short flights within Russia for training purposes.
