A USAF F-22 MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING AT EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE AFTER A NOSE GEAR FAILURE

EGLIN AFB FLORIDA – A USAF F-22 Raptor from the 325th Fighter Wing, made an emergency landing at Eglin AFB in Florida on March 15, 2021. The 5th gen fighter jet’s nose gear collapsed during landing around 3:30 PM (Local Time) and came to a rest on its nose, Eglin AFB reported via Facebook.

‘The F-22 experienced an in-flight emergency. The aircraft landed safely. There was one person on board. Fire crews responded immediately and the pilot was transported to flight medicine for an evaluation. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the mishap is underway.
