TOULOUSE, FRANCE – An Airbus aircraft lost a piece of the aircraft during a flight on November 19 in France, Airlive reports. The Airbus was flying over Daux – a village close to Toulouse – home base of Airbus in France. Nobody was hurt and there was no damage because of the impact.
An inhabitant of Daux – 10 km (6 miles) from Toulouse – found the piece of the aircraft in his garden. The piece measured 1 x 0.5 m.
The incident was confirmed by an Airbus spokesman to AFP (Agence France-Presse). The spokesman stated that the piece was “a piece of an Airbus plane”. “An investigation is in progress,” he said.
Daux is a small village with 2,300 inhabitants and it is located about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, home base of Airbus.
