Boeing’s statement comes a week after the Ethiopian crash and after The Seattle Times publishing their investigation, which showed that Boeing was allowed by the American Aviation Authority (FAA) to carry out the approval for the flight safety of the MAX aircraft. The FAA also sees similarities with the crash of Ethiopian Airlines and that of Lion Air 5 months ago.
