Turkish Airlines A330 Storm landing at Amsterdam Airport

VIDEO – TURKISH AIRLINES A330 LANDING DURING STORM AT AMSTERDAM AIRPORT

Impressive Crab Landing performed earlier this year by a Turkish Airlines pilot during a storm at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in the Netherlands. A Crab Landing is often used when there is very strong crosswind, especially during a storm. Like in this video the pilot will then perform a Crab Landing on touchdown. As a result the airplane tracks towards the upwind edge of the runway while de-crabbing to align with the runway. Immediate upwind aileron is needed to ensure the wings remain level while rudder is needed to track center line. Video: JERRY TAHA AVIATION on YouTube
