AMSTERDAM AIRPORT, NETHERLANDS – Strong crosswinds today at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in The Netherlands – watch how this Kuwait Airways Boeing 777 battles the strong crosswinds before landing at runway 18R, also known as ‘De Polderbaan‘ – a runway with a garantee for spectacular crosswind landings at The Netherlands’ main airport. It looks like the wings of aircraft were generating some unexpected lift, probably caused by a sudden strong gust coming from straight ahead, resulting in some spectacular seconds of floating only a few feet above the runway. The aircraft eventually made a hard and bumpy landing, but landed safely without any problems.
