TWO DEAD, THREE INJURED IN PLANE CRASH NEAR LAS VEGAS

LAS VEGAS – In a crash with a small propeller plane near Las Vegas, two people died on Saturday evening. Three other passengers were injured, according to authorities.

The single-engine Beechcraft Sierra had just taken off from Henderson Executive Airport and was on its way to California according to Flightaware. Immediately after the start a mechanical problem was discovered and the pilot decided to return to the airport.

The aircraft did not make it to the airport and crashed, the Las Vegas review reported.

The airplane crashed about 8:15 P.M. Local Time, and caught fire about half a mile south of Henderson Executive Airport, regional spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration, Ian Gregor said.
