OWL FOUND IN B737 ENGINE DURING PRE-FLIGHT CHECK AT MELBOURNE AIRPORT
MELBOURNE AIRPORT – A remarkable discovery last Thursday, during a regular pre-flight check of a Virgin Australian Boeing 737 at Melbourne airport; an owl was found in one of the engine’s fan blades.
According to the airline, this is why pre-flight checks are always very important before each single flight. “Our team of engineers rescued it and was assessed before being safely released back into the wild. “
The Boeing 737-800 from Virgin Australia departed safely from Melbourne Airport, shortly after the owl was rescued and released.
