EVERETT, WASHINGTON – Vistara has taken delivery of its first Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner at Boeing’s Everett Factory, Paine Field. The Indian airline wants to expand its service worldwide, and has ordered a total of 6 Dreamliners, which should serve on long-haul flights from its hub – Indira Gandhi International Airport – about 9 miles southwest of New Delhi. Vistara

Tata SIA Airlines Limited, operating as Vistara, was founded in 2013 as a joint venture between India’s conglomerate Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, and is an Indian full-service airline based in Gurgaon, with its hub at Indira Gandhi International Airport, about 9 miles southwest of New Delhi.

The airline commenced operations on January 9, 2015 with its inaugural flight between Delhi and Mumbai. Vistara had carried more than 2 million passengers by June 2016 and as of May 2019, it has a 4.7% share of the domestic carrier market, making Vistara the 6th largest domestic airline in India.

Vistara serves 34 destinations with a fleet of Airbus A320, Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, and now also the Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner.
